Default 1996 club car ds oil light

The oil light on my 1996 club car ds is coming on at high rpm's. I've do some research and believe the oil isn't drain down fast enough. I was going to try going to a 10-30 or 5-20 synthetic oil. Is this a good idea and what oil. I'm also going to check the belt and clutch to make sure it's not causing me to rev to high. It has been coming on and I'm not hitting the rev limiter.

Oil light coming on at high RPM is not normal at all! Should be just the reverse.
The more RPM's the faster the pump pumps and pressure will increase!
On a EZGO it only takes about 4 psi to keep the light off.

Oil not getting back to the pan fast enough, not likely unless your very low on oil or perhaps your oil filter is stopped up.
I bet it's your sending unit.
On my EZ the sending unit was $40, so for $20 I installed a automotive direct gauge

In a Club Car it's a level switch not a pressure switch
