Hi all, need some help!!. Cart was giving me trouble with gas pedal. When I step on it all it does is full speed. Does not seem the cable is moving at all. Is it a cable problem or is there a switch that controls this???

Any help is really appreciated.

What kind of cart?

You've got this under "Gas Club Car", I'm going to guess it's a DS - Precedent would be different. There's a push rod, bell crank, 2 cables, governor arm and a couple of springs along that throttle system. I would start by removing the black plastic cover over the top of the carburetor and look at the linkage there. Sounds like the throttle plate isn't getting closed all the way. There should be a small return spring between the throttle arm on the carb and the bracket that hangs over it (that the black cover mounts to). Make sure it's in place. See if you can move/pull on the cable there at the carb and work backwards from there to see where it's hanging up.
