98 DS Keeps Cutting Out
Cart runs for about 3 to 5 minutes, stumbles and dies. Fuel filter is full and carb bowl has gas when I back out the drain screw so, don't think it's a fuel issue. Have removed ground from RPM Limiter and same thing. Wondering about the ignition coil getting hot and creating an open/short condition?
Would appreciate any advice. |

I just replaced the coil in my cart, I used a in line spark plug tester.
I drove my cart till it died, clamped the tester on the plug, stuck in boot. Put my cart in maintenance mode, see if she sparks.  Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |

Pain in the neck getting at that coil!!! Not looking forward to that job.

I'm restoring a 1995 ds. It has new belts, battery, carb, and filters.
Is this something you would recommend as a preventative maintenance while I have the cart apart? Or is it one of those "it may or may not ever break" things? |
