Default side post battery ? '91 gas clubcar

the club car I recently acquired had no battery and it appears that there might not be enough room for the top posts to clear the air cleaner . Also, what cca/ca is recommended ?

U need side post. A group 75 should fit. I would not get less than 550.

Top or side makes no different as long as there is room.

I use a marine starting batt. its small but has lots of CCA and reserve ( amp hours )

Works well for me. And if I am using more juice then the gen puts out ( light, stereo etc ) it has the capacity to run for a very long time.

Trick or treating with the grand kids house to house, starting and stopping with all the lights on, works out.

Thanks everybody for the replies! I have lots of marine batteries ( group 27 ) , too big because of the choke assembly. I probably will go with the inexpensive lawnmower battery. Problem is the life is short on those cheap batteries.
