93 Club car ds leak
I have a 1993 Club car ds gas that leaks where the transmission meets the rearend. Is there a gasket sold for this or do I just use gasket maker? I could not find a gasket for sale for my year. Also, would it be easier to take the back half of the body off and fix it? Or is it better to drop it out the bottom?

Think you could get a picture of it?
If it is where I think it is, yes you can just split it in half right there and not pull anything out, a lot of shops I know do it that way it takes a lot more time but I prefer to pull the whole transaxle out..... and go through everything while I have it out... |

Here is a picture. It leaks where the new looking bolt is. I tried a new bolt to see if it would tighten more. It leaks pretty bad. You can see part of the huge puddle under it.

Re: 93 Club car ds leak
The answer to your question is yes it can be repared, without pulling the whole axle, (Not the safest way, just my way) place a floor jack on the side that you will not be working on and raise it just enough where the tire comes off the ground, standard stuff will be need to removed, shakels brake cables ect...
Don't disassemble the brakes themselves just make sure the brake cable is undone and pull the bolts out the axle shaft connected to the differential itself, Soak the driven clutch down with something before you try to pull it off as well... Save time....make you own gasket... Hangs head in shame I may have left a few steps out... That was the Reader's Digest versionlhmo: |
