Clutch help
My clutch does not engauge smoothly, rather the engine speeds up and it jerks to take off. What do I need to do to correct this?

I dont know a bunch about clutches, but I've seen a could posts about dirt/dust keeping it from moving freely...

Remove it and inspect the buttons. They could be worn out and not sliding properly.

Certain clutches can be rebuilt or bad parts replaced but your better off buying a new one or atleast used in very good shape

Danny has a 2007 XRT 800...
Unless it has a crap load of hours on it, I doubt it'll need replacing! I'll agree with JD, and Springbok, it's probably just dirty and/or worn buttons. .02 |

Thanks for the info Lockman, do I have to remove the engine to pull the clutch, it doesn't look like there is enough room as is?

Nope!
There's enough room to pull the drive clutch without doing anything with the engine! |
