2000 Gas Club Car slow to start
My cart is at a vacation home and it not run every weekend. The battery in less than a year old, gas is clean and fuel filters are also less than 2 years old. When I depress the gas pedal I hear a "whining" sound. I let up on the pedal and press is back down a few times and eventually the cart starts. Once it is warmed up it get easier to start. I don't want to assume it's the starter. Please let me know your thought and thanks in advance.

Re: 2000 Gas Club Car slow to start
Sounds like you need to tighten your starter/generator belt. The whining is the belt slipping in the cold pulleys before it finally bites, and the cart starts and runs. When your motor gets warm, the metal parts expand, which would explain why it's easier to start when it's warm.
