2007 Club Car Carryall 2 gas gauge flashes red as empty when full
I just brought home a 2007 Gas powered club car carryall 2. I filled the fuel tank and the gas gauge still shows empty. The gauge has a series of “red” vertical squares from left to right. Only the first square is illuminated and it is flashing. It appears that after filling the gas tank, that all of the “red” squares should have illuminated to display a full fuel tank. There is also an hours meter under the gas gauge and that does not work at all, but I am only concerned with the gas gauge at this time. Is this a common problem with an easy fix?

My fuel level indicator only lights up to show a bar or block (left empty -to- right full) never a stripe of multiple bars or blocks.
When it is partially full it lights up somewhere between the two extremes. |

Try cleaning and tightening the connection on top of the tank

Re: 2007 Club Car Carryall 2 gas gauge flashes red as empty when full
I've only seen 2 bad gauges, on one of them, nothing worked...
and on the other, the hour meter didn't work, and the fuel gauge was fully illuminated when it wasn't supposed to be. IMG_2996.JPG unknwn is correct... on my cart, only one bar illuminates with how full the tank is! If the bar is flashing on the empty side, Check to see if the float is stuck down inside the tank, If that's o.k., it could also be possible the potentiometer on the tank float sensor may need "exercising" if it's been sitting a while, I test it with a clean long screwdriver or rod, and push down on the float a few times to see if the meter changes. |
