Rear end alignment or adjustments possible?
I am working on building my new cart and I have installed a Jakes 6" lift and new leaf springs in the rear. It appears like the rear of the car is not aligned.
The passenger rear wheel looks to be slightly further toward the back of the car than the drivers rear wheel. I think it self aligns off the pin in the leaf spring but thought I would ask if there was any other way to adjust this. I get rubbing at the rear passenger wheel at the back when I'm loaded and hit a bump. I think moving this wheel forward even a quarter inch would eliminate this issue. I assume this would move the driver side rear wheel back making a half inch difference and align the rear of the car. |

Precedent leaf springs are directional, it sounds like you have one of them in backwards!
Here's a thread that may help you... http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...r-springs.html |

Measure just the drivers side, center pin, to the front loop, then center pin to the rear loop, the longer side should be towards the front.
I'm thinking that if the drivers side is in backwards, and you were to remove just that leaf, flip it around front to back, it will move the drivers wheel back, and the passenger wheel forward the little bit you need. |

This is the only pic I have showing the drivers side. The wheels seem to be centered in the well. Like I said the passenger side in only about 1/4" different but it's hitting the passenger rear gusset when loaded with one adult on back and hit a bump. |

they look awfully flat and almost inverted, usually see them arched downwards then the bottom one is arched downward, looks upside down to me ??! but looking at other picts, looks similar |

Re: Rear end alignment or adjustments possible?
Somebody else a month or two ago came across a pair of springs that weren't right. If I remember right the arch was too low for the spec. Anything can be made wrong.
Measure both springs from front eye to center bolt. Also measure the unloaded arch height on both. |

Re: Rear end alignment or adjustments possible?
I think you are correct. It looks to me like the bottom heavy spring is upside down. I'm not sure how the shackles looked before I changed the springs. This is a new cart and I just installed the lift and new springs. I am requesting a replacement set and I don't believe these are correct.
