Default Standard vs Heavy Duty Rear Leaf Springs

I got a 2008 DS from a Local County Minicipality, it has a Aluminum Box on the rear.

How can I tell WHAT Springs are on my DS ??

Eventually I want to put on a Rear Seat Kit. I understand that you should install the HD Springs when you install a Rear Seat. I have seen 3 Leaf & 4 leaf, which would is best case scenario ?? Do they lift the cart or just stiffen it up. and If i plan to lift the cart, would i use these springs or other option ??

Look at site sponsors for “dual action” springs. Some of those 3 & 4 leaf springs are VERY stiff. Dual actions will give more weight capacity without beating you to death when you’re lightly loaded. Similar to the old helper leaf on automotive leaf springs from years ago.
