Installing LedGlow lights
after installing some cheap $20 underglow lights I decided they were junk and bought the LedGlow lights. Way better quality and should've educated myself first!
So, I'm looking for recommendations or advice where to put the front strip? I laid them out and plugged them in with the longer ones on each side, but there really isn't anyplace on the frame to mount them because the spring mounts are in the way. So, I decided to put the shorter ones on the frame from the spring mount back and the longer strips across. The back frame is perfect but looking under the front of cart the only semi solid mounting place is more in the middle of cart on the crossmember. Did any of you just move your front strip forward and just use the frame rails toward the front and leave the ends of the Led strip just hang out on the ends? Or will it give off plenty of light mounted in the center? Thanks for any suggestions! |

Re: Installing LedGlow lights
It's not a stupid question!
I have the 4 piece LedGlow set in all red, (I'm pretty sure they are all the same length) The 2 strips along the frame rails, (front to back) and 1 strip along the L angle at the trailer hitch... (side to side) The other one for the front, I installed on top of the glove boxes. (side to side) I did that for a couple of reasons... The whole front cowl is open and exposed, and I wanted it out of the way in the event of having to replace my lift. (which I did... TWICE!) The way I looked at it, it was the only way they could be installed without the ends needlessly flopping around and being torn off by something. Come to find out? The front strip is bright enough and lights up the wheel wells and lift, which I felt was more of a bonus, rather than lights just shooting to the ground. |

Re: Installing LedGlow lights
I waited till it got dark, to mess with my LED glow lights, and simply used strap ties to test where I wanted the light strips to go, once I got the appearance I was looking for, then I wired up everything hard. I actually had to pull my disco lights off, it seems like they were always getting caught up on something when we are out riding the heavy trails, and yes they were tucked up and out of the way...

Finished up all my wiring this weekend and was warm enough to wash, scrub and sand the body so I can get the scratches and gouges filled for painting. Then I started pulling staples to install my seat covers only to find when I tried to take the arm rests off broke a few bolts and rotted plywood. I can see this is a never ending project! Want to put a new floor mat because it’s torn along the seam but I’m a little scared to tackle that as I don’t want to mess with taking the pedal group apart! I did read somewhere Tahoe dawg mention how you twist this way, flip that way, rotate mat this way etc. so maybe?.. Pics of finished wiring and rotted seat Gawd, I so want to drive this cart! Not to mention first shoot is in a month Oh, and New trailer too |

Re: Installing LedGlow lights
Love it! Its so much better quality than the ones I bought originally. The wires from lights to box are actually a cable and not those cheap ribbon cables. Highly recommend them.
