Default Rev limiter on 2010 Precedent

Hello all !! I tried doing several searches and came up with nothing, but has anyone swapped out an older coil without the rev limiter on a late model precedent ?

It's my understanding that the combo coil did not start until 2013. Some one will know for sure.

I have the combo coil on a 2009 precedent as-26 engine. I saw a post where a gentleman said he swapped coils, but did not specify which coil he used. I would be interested in this information as well.

Here's an update... I searched high and low for anybody that had swapped one out, asked a couple club car mechanics here local, and no one could tell me.. I have a 03 DS an a 2010 Precedent, so I swapped the older coil over to the newer one and it worked... Part # 1019092-01 will work on 2010 and newer Kawasaki engines and eliminate the rev limiter.. The newer will not work on the older one, for what reason, I don't know, it just won't rev up.... It was a bear to put on , and here's what I done to put it on..
1. Removed gas tank
2. Removed exhaust
3. Removed little black cover above carb
4. Removed engine mount bolts, and two center bolts on the rearend to motor mount.. Had to to get to shroud cover bolt at 3 o'clock, that bolt is slotted and does not have to be completely removed, and I did not tighten it back up in case I have to take back apart in the future..
5. Removed fan shroud
6. Unbolted and pulled fan housing away to access coil.. Could not take it completely out, but could pull it back enough to get to coil..
7. Changed coil, and set gap at 12 thousandths
I had the cart jacked up in the rear on jackstands with the left rear wheel removed which made it a little easier, and removed the rear access panel...I also used a 1/4 swivel for some of the bottom flywheel housing bolts.. Hope this helps, and I'll answer any questions if I can !!

Installed new coil yesterday. Works great. Kawasaki no. 21171-2207 on a 2009 precedent for anyone interested. All the tips from Dragula were perfect.
