Default 2008 Club Car Precedent

I’m at a loss! It will initially start every time but after about 10-15 minutes it will just stop!!! After waiting about 5 minutes or so it will start right up again. It’s cranking the whole time but won’t take off till after the 5 minutes or so of just sitting or cooling off... PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks, Clayton

Not sure about your model, but sometimes this is caused by the ignition parts getting hot. Immediately when this happens check for spark. Pull the plug, snap it in the cap, and check for spark.

It’s not getting as HOT as it once was! I removed the zip tie on the governor and the E3 Spark Plug. Damage could have already been done from that...

Heat-related failure, main two culprits, rev limiter, ignition coil.

I'm in front of the engine underneath it you'll find the rev limiter pull the ground off the engine tape it up so it does not ground off, you have now completely disabled the rev limiter. Drive it see if it happens again.

If it happens again while the rev limiter is disconnected your issue is more likely the coil.

Checking for spark while is happening is the sure way to test

Some models have the rev limiter built into the coil, maybe an expert will let us know about the 08 model

Is the coil hard too replace?
