Default Snapped "rear cradle"?

Installing a lift blocks and overload leafs on a 2000 gas DS.

Didn't quite follow instructions and took pressure off the jack, allowing the rear end to hang. All at once there was a loud snap and the rear-end/motor came crashing to the floor.

I cannot find anything broken and all I see attaching the motor/rear end to the rest of the cart is that little rubber damper in front of the motor. Where else should I look? What is connecting the rear chassis to the rest of the cart?

The 4 bolts that attach the springs to the cart.

It's a little late now, but you should only do one side at a time!
and Jimmie is right... the only thing holding the cradle in place is the U bolts to the transaxle.

As for the loud snap... it could be a number of things,
The braided ground strap from the engine to the frame, (up front, attached to the valve cover)
and any part of the air intake system, air box, intake tube, and maybe even the plastic carburetor manifold. (intake tube to carb attachment)

There’s a ground braid from the starter generator to frame too. I’d be willing to bet it was that, ask me how I know.
