Default Slipping belt? Or other issue?

Good afternoon all,

Looking for a little guidance. My engine is finally running smoothly, but I’m not getting good speed. The RPM limiter is kicking in, but only when I’m at about 12 mph. I’m attaching a picture of my drive clutch. My belts are new and feel reasonably tight. I get a squeal when I hit the accelerator when starting from a stopped position fairly often.

I don’t think my belt is riding up high enough on the drive clutch. Any ideas on what could be the issue? Suggestions on the belt getting higher on drive clutch?

Thank you,

It's definitely not coming up far enough and most likely why your hitting rev limiter pull the cover off the clutch and inspect for broken parts

Great, will do thanks!

I did just noticed that while the clutch is engaging I hear a pop sound. Almost like it’s sticking and then engaging.
