Need some advice...again
So what would cause my engine to start immediately every time I push the pedal in maintenance mode but when there’s a load it sometimes just spins and spins and eventually start with smell of flooding?
After my last shoot, it was not running great but I nursed it through. Got home and pulled the body to remove gas tank. Cleaned tank, fuel pump, new spark plug, checked valves, tightened starter belt. Started it up on jacks and it fired every time. Put it all back together and drove it up an down road starting and stopping and it runs like a pig. Why can’t I get that immediate start all the time? What am I missing or what can I try next? I have another shoot coming up in couple weeks and I’m half tempted to throw it on the trailer and take it to the nearest dealer and tell them to Fix it! |

Re: Need some advice...again
I would check a couple things to narrow it down farther:
Check to make sure the carb is not gunked up See if compression is with in spec 120-156psi based on wear of your engine Use spark tester to make sure the coil is firing efficiently Also try removing fuel line from carb and turn the cart over to make sure the pump is providing enough flow - I hope one of these might help you a little |
