84 ds carburetor
My 84 club car seems to be running lean, I purchased a new carb off of Amazon that said it was for 84-91 but it still seems to run lean. It seems to run ok up to about half throttle but after that it sounds like it's starving for fuel. It has new fuel filters so I was wondering what I should check or try next? Thanks

Re: 84 ds carburetor
Does your cart have an electric fuel pump or a vacuum fuel pump? Some of the earlier carts have electric pumps.

It has an electric fuel pump on it, I'm not sure if it's factory or not because it was on there when I bought the cart

Re: 84 ds carburetor
Yes 1984-85 Gas Club Cars came with electric fuel pumps. It's likely factory. I believe Club Car changed over to the vacuum fuel pumps in 1986. I assume it's pumping fuel? Can you duplicate the fuel-starving issue in maintenance mode (running the motor in neutral)? To get the cart into maintenance mode just turn the little plastic yellow cam on the back side of the shifter handle 180 degrees.
