Default DS Aftermarket clutches any good?

Has anyone used the aftermarket driven clutches available on buggiesunlimited? Are they worth even bothering to try?
Need a replacement driven clutch for one of my carts and these are tempting but I need to know if they need to hold up to some abuse.
Our carts get run rain or shine, and they frequently run on gravel and through mud puddles.

Or should I just stick with OE and spend the $400?

Don't know about driven but I bought a brand new drive clutch from Buggies Unlimited over five years ago and it's held up.

Yeah I actually have three of the aftermarket drive clutches, they're not bad. Have had one in service for three years now and it still has smooth and even engagement.

Found an OE driven clutch on the bay for a durn good price so I ordered that for the time being, but still interested to know if anybody has run the aftermarket driven clutches that look like they have steel sheives.

I've had one on four years. It works fine but didn't line up straight with drive clutch.

I would call Bruce at CPP and see if he has any before buying from BU. JMO

I would try real hard to use one of the site sponsors, they help pay for this great forum that most of us use for free. JMHO

That design with the steel sheaves is not an aftermarket design, it’s actually the design Club Car used before 1987 and I believe that there is a drive belt alignment issue with using that style clutch on a 1987-up cart, despite most parts retailers listing them for newer carts.

Buggies Unlimited is the worst of the worst. Use a site sponsor.
