Default RPM Litmiter

Has anyone had issues with the RPM Limiter on a Club Car 92-96?

I have a 94 and i think i finally trouble shooted it down to the RPM limiter, the governor seems to be working correctly after i replaced the cable due to age and wear & tear.

The cart jumps high in RPMs and is bouncing off limiter @ 14-15 mph. the governor is not exactly where i need it to be so i know there is more adjustning but has anyone had this problem with the limiter?

I am going to disconnect the ground on the limiter when i get home today and see if that takes care of my problem but i dont want to leave it off becuase i dont need someone else thats driving to gernade my motor.

With stock wheels and tires 14-15 is about right. Loosen up on the governor until it quits and you should be fine

As long as you don't have any wild drivers that want to see how fast you can go I would leave it off.

If your clutches are not opening and closing as they should,as in stuck, you will hit the rpm limiter at a lower speed. Put it in maintenance mode and check clutch operation.

Maintenance Mode:

Lift up the seat look on the back side of the shifter.
Theirs a white knob as you move the shifter from F to R you
can see it activate the micro switches.
Pull the knob out and turn it 180 degrees now it will start in neutral
and not in F or R
