Default Driven Clutch

I have a 1999 CC with FE290. One of my driven clutch slides is gone. Appears to me the screw broke off flush with the clutch. Any ideas how to remove screw?

The main screw that holds the clutch to the input shaft? You'll probably need an easy-out.

Not the main screw that holds the clutch. The little screw that holds one of the three clutch slides.

Only thing to do is drill it out. Before you do that check for play between the clutch shaft and the sliding sheave. If you can feel the sheave rock back and forth on the shaft you just need to replace the whole clutch. Too much wear there will lead to the clutch rattling and will cause rough opening/closing of the sheave.

Thanks for update. Do I hold the Sheave in one hand then attempt to rock the outer part? There for trying to find play between the outter and inner

Yeah, hold the outer section, and try to wiggle the sliding sheave on the shaft. A tiny amount of movement is acceptable, but if you can see it rock around it's time to replace it.

The shack rattle and roll passed. Thanks you for your input.

Then you should be good to drill it out! Might need a helicoil insert to get good threads in there.
Be sure to put a little blue loctite on the threads of those little screws. If they back out at all and the slide comes loose it will break off.

Contact a Snap-On tool truck driver and get a couple reverse cut (left rotation) drill bits. You might luck out and have it catch and back itself out.
I think the smallest -MIGHT- be 1/16".
A -little- heat while your drilling might help the broken screw to come out.
