before I finish tightening these down, I want to know if the plates are in the right place. The instructions aren't very clear and I want to be sure before finishing. Thank you for any help

Re: Are the plates right on my lift?
I put the cable plate on last, (bottom) I kinda had to guess because I ordered JUST the rear lift, and it didn't come with instructions.
I'm thinking it might have an issue with a cable obstruction with the way you have it now. 001 - Copy (2).JPG |

Thanks Don. I was going to call Dave @ revolution where I got it but it was too late after work and didn’t want to bother him. Was hoping he’d see my post. I’ll change tonight when I get home.

Hey Kim,
I just got your PM. Sorry I didn't see your message. I rarely venture over here to the Gas side of the forum. Take Lockman's advice. He's steering you in the right direction. |

Re: Are the plates right on my lift?
Looks like the square plate is there to take up the space of the spring when the spring was moved above the axle. As Lockman and Tahoe said, that would keep your cable bracket in alignment with the original configuration.

Re: Are the plates right on my lift?
I switched the around with the brake bracket in bottom. Had good brakes before lift, now pedal goes 1/2 way down before engaging. I contemplated doing the backing plate swap while I had it tore apart but didn’t think I needed to do with a 4 in lift.. love the lift and the power steering!

Re: Are the plates right on my lift?
Yep!
Removing the cable hanger will give you extra pedal travel! (which has to be done on all CC lifts) I'll assume that you've adjusted the brake equalizer to get your pedal back... yes/no? |

Re: Are the plates right on my lift?
that's today's project. I did zip tie the cables back up where the cable hangers were.
Another question....I have a "tink, tink" noise in the engine that's driving me crazy! I even went as far as pulling my drive clutch yesterday to inspect the buttons, even though they are brand new because Bruce @ CPP rebuilt both my clutches back in the winter. It's hard to describe and I even took a video while test driving yesterday but YouTube won't upload. Thank you kindly for replying! Loving the look!Attachment 174501 |
