Default rpm limiter

if the wire from the rpm limiter on a 92 club car is cut and taped up, will this cause issues for the spark?

I think you'd have to specify which wire. it's certainly possible depending on which one it is

There's only two, so if one is disconnected the limiter doesn't work and will not affect spark.
On a 92 you have an igniter module that's usually mounted behind the limiter. Its a small silver box with a single spade terminal. The igniter will cause intermittent or weak spark, and it has to be there and functioning properly in order to have proper spark.

The rev limiter can cause problems if its still connected. Usually when those are disconnected it's because the limiter already failed. Once it's disconnected it has no effect on the spark.

just had this problem myself rebuilding a cart , while installing a new wiring harness
there is a white wire with black stripe that runs over to the RPM limiter and the igniter, based on where you cut the wire your cart may not start, or wont stay running

just make sure the white/ black strip wire is running over to this wire and connects to the wire running from the igniter to inside the engine coil
see diagram , the white / black wire plugs into this connector

I just figured this out after about 2-1/2 hours of scratching my and a lot of cussing

hope this helps

Tim
