Default Carb loading prime?

So I’m working on my club car precedent, and when I bought it two weeks ago it ran fine but there was a fuel drip from the carb overflow tube when you hit the gas. Just a few drips and only when the pedal is down. So I take the carb off and clean the crud out and put it back like it came off. But now it’s having trouble sucking in fuel. Once it finally starts it runs fine but if I leave it sit for a day it becomes hard to start again.

What did I mess up?? I put on new gaskets when I put it back together!

Didn’t get it clean enough.
Remove the main jet and push the bleed tube out. Make sure both are clean and have no blockage. Remove the pilot jet on the side of the carb body and clean the passages in the pilot and the carb. If you removed the idle screw did you count how many turns it needed to be out from seated? It’s usually between 1-1/4 and 1-3/4 out. If you didn’t remove the idle mixture screw turn it through it’s full range and blast cleaner and compressed air through all of the passages in the carb. Especially make sure you see cleaner coming out of all of the idle ports in the side of the carb body near the butterfly. If those idle ports are blocked you will have hard starting.
