1990 carryall crankcase vacuum?
Hello everyone. i have a 1990 clubcar carryall that is having fuel issues. Last year i replaced the carb, fuel pump, air and gas filter and all the fuel lines. It ran well for awhile, but now doesn't seem to be picking up (sucking fuel to the fuel pump). I aslo replace the fuel pumps on a couple lawn mowers and tried them as well (i know they worked fine). To me, the crankcase vacuum hose seems to be pulsating, more blowing then suction. Anyone know what the problem could be? Thnaks in advance.

Re: 1990 carryall crankcase vacuum?
It's normal for that vacuum line to pulse. Have you taken off that line to see if it's sucking oil into the hose? If you overfill the oil in the crankcase, oil can get into that line and choke off your pump's operation.
Also hit that filter on the side of the pump itself with some brake cleaner (shown below), they can clog up and choke off fuel delivery too: |
