1995 DS Not Starting
Only able to get it started for 10-30 seconds at times. Only at the lowest level of the accelerator. I've charged the battery to "green", but I'm not sold on the battery being good. I'm a minus in the mechanic category, so I don't know how to test the battery properly. The fuel pump is a suspect, but I'm now leaning towards the battery simply being no good. I have an MN36 Multimeter. Can you test a "free-sitting" battery, or does it have to be hooked up?
If anyone can make sense of my ramblings, let me know. Thanks B |

Re: 1995 DS Not Starting
Are you sure the cart is running and not just spinning from the starter/generator? If it is running it sounds like you may have a linkage problem.
As far as the battery, if it is spinning the motor over as it should it is OK. If not, charge it and see if it works. If not, replace it. |
