CC Gas battery
What type of battery is everyone using for their carts? I have a 93, and after I picked this cart up, I replaced the battery that was there with the same one.

Re: CC Gas battery
On any Gas carts,I use the biggest Automotive battery that will fit, reason being that if you use the cart for yard-work,or camping-type application, its start/go constantly, add electrical-options(lites,radio,etc...)and its alot more abuse on it.I think it might be a Group 74 or 78 in our G16. I use Interstate Batteries. Hope this helps.

Re: CC Gas battery
It's supposed to be a group 70 of at least 500CA.
The early 90s DS carts don't have any room for a larger battery, so the stock battery is the biggest you can fit. But there are usually two or three different CA ratings depending on the battery manufacturer. I always get the highest I can from my local supplier which is 540 CA. |
