Default DS FE290 Crank dimensions?

I have been looking all over the place and am having some trouble. What are they dimensions of the FE290 Crankshaft? Looking for replacement engines like a 429cc Kohler or similar but want to come close on crank specs.

Why would you want to try and put a kohler or some other crankshaft in a Kawasaki engine?

That's not exactly going to be compatible...

Are you doing an engine swap? So you should just need to know the size of the snout for the clutch?
To retain the original club car clutch with the taper you need I believe a 1" taper adapter.

Most of the big block swap builders recommend just switching to a comet 780 clutch, it already fits a 1" straight shaft engine.

I must have read that completely wrong. Your read makes much more sense

Agreed. I've done it both ways... I've cut the crank, drilled, tapped, etc. to use the tapered adapter and a stock clutch. It was a HUGE PITA.

Get the comet 780 from CPP or from Vegas Carts. I believe both sites offer a pulley adapter so you can use the stock starter/generator and retain the pedal start function. If you're looking for key start like a gator or sxs, then you can drop in pretty much any engine.

CPP offers bolt-in vanguard kits. Vegas carts offers bolt in kits, as well as the brackets and hardware to bolt in any engine of your choice without having to do any fabrication work.
