uh oh we got an oil guyser here, help !!
well I adjusted my brakes this am and drove the 92 CC out of the garage all the sudden it stopped, oil blowing all over the place. I looked in the back of the motor and saw a rubber plug laying on top.
so after cleaning all the mess and wiping the 2 belts down I siliconed the rubber plag and popped it back in then siliconed around the top too, is this ok now ?? What would cause that to happen ?? Also I noticed the drive belt doesnt have cogs is this normal ?? It is also cracked bad where is the best place to buy one and what should I expect to pay ?? Great site thanks to all |

The rubber plug in the back of the block plugs a hole for the dipstick tube when used in other applications.
They get old and hard and can blow out. If it happens again pick up a new one at a CC dealer or a rubber expansion freeze plug from an auto parts store and replace it. Some drive belts have cogs and some don't, cracking in the belts is usual but replace it if you want to. Call dealer for cost. |

do they make rubber expansion plugs that small ??? How much pressure is in the base to blow that out ?? Do you think it will be ok now it sure made a big mess !
The belt has some very big splits in it right down to the backing, would you chg it or leave it alone ?? The belts are like 30.00 ! |

They do make plugs that small and if the belt is split that deep drop the thirty and replace it.
It might save you an afternoon of kicking rocks on the side of the road waiting for help......... |
