12v source for lights
I just finished hooking up a set of head lights on my CC. I ran my 12v source from a terminal in that black box under the air intake tube, where the other fuses are located. Within 75 yards of running with the lights on the fuse went, taking the fuse holder with it..... Is that a bad place to tap off of? Thanks in advance....

Re: 12v source for lights
Why don't you just run it off of the battery? I am not sure what you are talking about but if that box is before the voltage regulator that could be your problem.

I agree with blakehenry00, just run them straight off the battery.

Re: 12v source for lights
i found out that if you cant hide the wires somewhere you can go to like auto zone or someplace like that and get different colored wire loom and tuck the wires in them..... they make the small stuff that looks REALLY good for the 1 or 2 wire installation

Re: 12v source for lights
I turned out to be a faulty inline fuse holder.... I had used the positive terminal off the starter solenoid, which is ok since that where the factory taps off for accesories, In fact right next to it is the fuse block with three empty slots. Anyone know where to get the crip on connectors that except a blade style fuse?

Re: 12v source for lights
Thank's guys - I was trying to use the stock block. If the BU one fits in the same spot it could be an option - but I'd still like to integrate with what's there....

Re: 12v source for lights
BU has a full replacement for CC's that includes all the terminals. I only wanted the terminals, but if this fits and it does look stock I won't care....
