Default 98 club cart starts and stops

I have a 1998 club car that starts and stops, no matter what postion the accelerator is in (fully depressed or slightly). the cart will start for about 1 second, give a brief burst, then die, run on battery start again,,, over and over. I have changed fuel filters, cleaned the carb, and cleaned the fuel pump. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Have you checked spark? Put it on jackstands and check it, if it runs on stands you have a bad ground or wire swinging from motion.
Unplug all of the wires from the motor coming from the cart above the drain plug.
Leave the igniter (behind the rev limiter) plugged into the coil wire and try it. If it runs check the bottom or lower micro in the black box under the seat that is a grounding micro for the coil.

Thanks for the ideas. It is a lake cart, so I will try this weekend and report back. Please feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Thanks again,

Worked on it quite a bit this weekend with no luck. No loose wires detected. Not a fuel problem. I'm guessing coil??? Any other suggestions?
