![]() I have a gas club car. It will idle when the pedal is pushed but will not go. The throttle cable seems to be ok. The cart has been like this for a few months. It started at the golf couse so I brought it home to see if I could find the problem and it would go after I pushed it off the trailer. I took it back to the golf course and it would not go again. Brought it home again and it still would not run. One of my children got on it and it started going. Took it back to the golf course, put it in the storage shed and when I got it out to use it, it would not go again. Went and got a trailer and started to push it to the parking lot to load it and it started going. Played a few holes to make sure it would go and put it back in shed. Went back a week later and it is back to the same thing. It idles but will not go. Brought it home and decided to see if I could get any ideas on what I might look for. I would really appreciate any help or input. Thanks Last edited by clubcar13; 06-06-2009 at 05:01 PM.. Reason: left out a couple words

![]() I would replace the fuel filter, first. Check the vent on the fuel tank (gas cap). Then try running it again. How's Dirty and Dock?? Hi guys. Does that sound right? Take care of CC13, ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() A big guess here, it seems to run after you move it by pushing. Check the clutches and verify they open and close. Just thinking.

![]() My son bought it a couple years ago. I am not sure what model it is, but I have maintained it.

![]() Thanks for the advice. I will change the filter one day this week and go from there. If you think of anything else, just let me know.

![]() Sounds like you need to keep it out of the golf shed.

![]() I have a similar problem. It just began. I have about 35 hours on a newly rebuilt FE290 in a 98 DS. It has worked flawlessly until last night. Driving down the street full throttle, the clutch seemed to 'kick out'. We came to a stop with the pedal still fully depressed and the engine idling - clutch not engaged. Pedal off - engine stops. Pedal on full throttle - engine starts fine but only idles. Obviously, with the engine only idling, the engine does not rev enough to engage the clutch. The way I have remedied the problem so far is to just hold the pedal all the way down, let the cart idle, then after about 20 secs, voila! the engine revs like it should and the clutch engages and we're off. The problem is intermittent - the worst kind. It seems that something is limiting engine rpm to idle (the exact same speed every time). Anybody have any hints?
