Question Spark Plug Gap for Villager 8?

Stopped by my local Club Car dealer this morning and picked up a couple of spark plugs for my Villagers...

Was kinda bummed when they handed me AutoLites instead of NGK or Denso, but they told e that's what they use in their tune-up kits, so I bought them...

Couldn't find a listing for the gap anywhere, so I just installed them right out of the box (gaps were just a hair larger than the previous plugs, which were NGK btw)

Now it seems both carts take longer to start up and down on power as well

Before I go bashing AutoLite (I usually do in the automotive world), I just wanna say I also installed two new fuel filters for each cart....

Both came with one each, but the parts guy at Club Car informed me that there's supposed to be two (one before and after the fuel pump), so I bought 4 and installed them along with the plugs....

Anyhoo, I can't say if it's the plug brand, plug gap or the extra restriction caused by the 2nd filter, but I figure I better start with the gap before messing with it any further

Anyone know the correct size?

Rick

.027" to .031"

(My CC dealer only supplies NGK! @ $3.00 ea.)

Red face Re: Spark Plug Gap for Villager 8?

Thanx Don

Little update...

I regapped the AutoLites and the carts still ran like crap

Put the old plugs back in and they ran fine again (so much for AutoLites)

Got a fresh set of NGK's at VatoZone and they were both good to go again until the F/R cable seized up in Forward on Cart#1

Pulled the cable out and tried to work it back and forth on a vise with some lube, but it's kaput

Hopefully my dealer has one in stock...
