Gas in Air cleaner box tube
My friend has 1999 Club Car DS gas golf cart.
His cart accumulates lots of gas in the tube which connects air cleaner box with carb. Do you know what can it be? |

Re: Gas in Air cleaner box tube
I had a 2002 doing the same thing. I found that there was a cut in my intake hose which caused partical of dirt to get in the float bowl of the carb.
You can either buy a carb. rebuild kit which are pretty inexpensive, or try this for a quick fix. First: pull the float bowl off the carb. and check the float there should not be able to hear or feel any liquid in the float. Second check to make sure there is no dirt in the float bowl or anywhere on the carb. You can use some carb. cleaner to spray all the parts down. Clean everything up and put the bowl back together. That's all I did to mine and it cured the problem. Even if you don't see the dirt it's probably still there. Even the smallest partical of dirt will cause your carb. to screw up. This should fix the problem. |
