New Member-Blown Flathead
Hello All, I need a rebuilt motor, what I have is a 91 with FZ 340/341 cc flathead. Cart will just be used for golf. I dont want to change anything just leave it stock. If anybody has had positive results with the purchase of a rebuilt motor please let me know where it was purchased from. Or if there are better options I am open for any suggestions.
Thanks Murphy From the Pacific Northwest |

Re: New Member-Blown Flathead
hey murphy welcome to BGW. i have the same cart i just replaced my flat head with a v-twin. the old motor runs after talking to the club mechanics at the local shop i found that the flat head motor wasn't worth the cost of rebuilding as they have a history of becoming really loose. what part of the pacific northwest are you in? im in portland.

Re: New Member-Blown Flathead
Thanks pbilly, The motor in mine had really seen some abuse and no maintanence in years, the fact that It ran for 18 years has to be a plus. Did they mean that they got loose after a rebuild or even when new ?

If it doesn't work out with pbilly, check with J&M Golf Carts, site sponsor. I know they are big in the rebuilds.
