problem with 92 gas club car
I have a problem that I have posted before. My 92 club car will start and run from one to 4 minutes, then stops. You can keep the acceleraor down and it will restart in about 30 seconds. It does this time after time. Sometimes it will run with no problems. I thought it was a gas problem and I have rebuilt the carb, replaced the fuel pump and gas lines but it has not solved the problem. How hard is it to get to the coil? Do you have to pull the engine and if the engine has to be pulled, do you have to take the body off? Any other electrical parts that could cause this problem?

Re: problem with 92 gas club car
It is not easy cuz some fasteners are in tight places but if you remove the fan shoud you can access the coil in the cart......

Re: problem with 92 gas club car
I do not think it is your coil. Might sound stupid but clean all your connections on your micro switches and make sure they are clicking. I had a similar problem, my switch was cracked inside and was not alowing spark from the coil. Hope this helps

Re: problem with 92 gas club car
I thought we were on a roll with your other post?
Have you determined when it stops if it has spark? That will tell you if it is fuel or spark related Take a spare plug with you, when it stops open the seat, remove the plug wire and install spare plug. Place on known metal ground and push pedal, does it fire? |
