Default Just found a crack in my gas tank...

Top of the tank. Its not to bad.

But where do i find a 87 tank? I have looked on a few parts sites but have not found one yet.

The plastic tanks can be repaired. If the crack is not too big, you can scratch up the area with some coarse sandpaper, clean it with a mild solvent, (alcohol would work) and patch it using a two part epoxy glue. The epoxy will not dissolve in gas. and will bond to plastic.
A replacement tank can be found at a cart graveyard, or possibly, the manufacturer. If the crack is on top i would repair it...Good Luck mj.

Ok ill look in to the Epoxy Method, cant beat a fix under $5.00!

the epoxy worked for me yesterday,i just had to drain (let leak out) the gas tank

I picked up some Locktight plastic repair epoxy. Seems so for so good. Got to love the Dry and hot (114 deg) AZ air. Things tend to cure a bit faster.

The crack is the the dark line on the upper Left corner of the tank.
