Question Club Car Driving Me Nuts

I Have A 1991 Club Car That Has Run Perfectly For The Last Two Years. Now It Runs Fine For About A Thousand Yards And Quits. I Have Checked Almost Everything. When The Motor Gets Hot The Spark Plug Stops Firing. I Have Already Replaced The Coil, That Didn't Help. The Only Other Parts I Can Think To Replace Are The Rpm Limiter Or The Exciting Coil Inside The Flywheel. Is There Anyway To Know For Sure Which One It Could Be. Those Parts Are $$$$. Anyone Know The Answer?

i have read on her that you can "unhook" the rpm limiter, maybe try that to eliminate one possibility.

There are no electrical parts down low on the front of a 91 cc gasser.
Exciting Coil-- Disconnect 3 prong coupling at CDI control unit, Set VOM on ohms (RX10) Check resistance across red and brown wires leading from engine. 355 to 385 ohms If reading is infinity or low ohms replace coil.
Pulsing Coil-- Set VOM at ohms (RX1) Check resistance across white wire leading from engine to ground. 57 to 73 ohms If reading is infinity or low ohms indicates defective coil.

NOTE-- Reading may vary if temp is very hot or cold.

If engine has no spark, disconnect black kill circuit wire at CDI control unit, if engine now runs it is the kill circuit.

Still cant find RPM limiter, this is what book says.

ENGINE IGNITION CIRCUIT-- The engine ignition circuit is completely independant of all other circuits except the kill circuit. It consists of a magneto with an excition coil and pulsing coil, a CDI control unit and a spark plug. In the magneto, the exciting coil supplies the power for ignition and the pulsing coil provides a timing pulse to the CDI unit. The CDI control unit controls the timing and intensity of the spark. The spark plug ignites the fuel-air mixture in the combustion chamber.

The only way I can find in the book so far to kill the engine is this. There are three switches in the cart wired for this purpose. They are the ACCELERATOR KILL LIMIT SWITCH activated by the accelerator pedal, the KEY SWITCH and the NEUTRAL LOCKOUT LIMIT SWITCH activated by the cam on the back of the F&R lever.

CDI-- control unit, If Kill circuit, Exciting Coil, Pulsing Coil, Spark Plug and Spark Plug Wire all check properly and spark is still not adequate, CDI is defective. Good Luck
