Default I have gasoline in my oil

I just rebuilt the upper end of my 89 CC..and took it out on Labor Day weekend. Thought all was good then I started smelling gas..Opened the seat and found one of the hoses had come off and was spilling gas on the ground. When I cranked the motor gas came pouring out of where the hose hooks to. Any ideas or has this happened to anyone else?

What hose> What was it hooked to, the fuel pump and carb? Then fuel running out would be normal.

If its the pulse line to the fuel pump then you may have a ruptured diaphram in the fuel pump.

Im not seeing where the "OIL" is coming in to play.

How hard was the rebuild? I'm thinking of doing the same thing on my 89. Steve

Steve, I didn't think that the rebuild was too difficult. I've been working on engine most of my life so mechanically it was'nt bad. One thing to note during teardown, keep track of all the little parts.. I lost one of the shims for the intake and had to replace it. the challenge was determining which size shim I needed. Also find a machine shop that is familiar with these engines. Good luck, and happy carting.....

Can you give more details of your trouble? Or did you get it worked out,
Couple trying to help asked some questions above.

Gas in the oil is usually from a choke sticking somewhat closed. Seems we have a few different issues here?
