Tires
Can you put 20X10-8 tires on the back of a ds club car without putting in a lift kit?

Re: Tires
how about the front on stock rims, no off-set and with no rubbing issues?

Re: Tires
Rubbing a little is like being a "little bit preagnant" it either works or it don't, would you drive your car or truck with your family down the road with a tire rubbing knowing it could cause something wrong?

Re: Tires
It's near impossible to tell from here the condition of the springs, the current clearances and the load you intend to carry. Most stock carts eventually rub with stock tires. The springs sag over time. I would say they will probably rub unless you lift at least the new addition of height for the tires. Meaning, if you add 2" of tire you need 1" of extra clearance on the top, at the fender. You need to see the existing clearance between the tire and the leaf spring or trailing arm. If you add 1" there it may rub the shock or other component. A 1" spacer would cure that problem.
If you run a rear seat it will definitely rub when the passengers load up. If you want a more aggressive tread pattern, they have 18" knobbies and tractor lugs... |

Re: Tires
With no dis-respect intended Sir, maybe ya'll drive things in Indiana with the front end rubbing; in South Carolina,we make needed repairs; it saves on tires and Dr. bills! Kindest Regards!

Re: Tires
I think that the tires "Rubbing"... OR... the tires "Touching" maybe two different issues!
although, Tires "touching" can be a saftey issue, Constant rubbing going straight, or at a turn, would be a serious problem! My 25" tires, with a 7" lift...the front tires "touch" my fender flairs with a slight left turn over rough terrain. (and I'm O.K. with that! ) 4V has them on his cart, (although, I haven't tried it) I'll trust his experience! e warmus, try them on back... if it works, or doesn't work, post it!!! Then we'll all know! |
