Default no left turns on a 99

ok i can barly turn to the left, but right side is ok. im assumins the king pins(spindles)are froze up on one side. since i cant shoot grease in either one. can i heat these up with a torch to melt the old harden grease up to free the king pins and to remove them?? and are tehre nylon bushings in the axle or are they a bronze type? and then shoot fesh grease in them. i have done this many of times on lawn riders, but they ddint have a rack and pinion steering.
ok you all can insert your wise cracks too, cause i know there coming, and i will not be offended like others have been. so let them fly!

I have a friend with this problem, if I re-center the rack the tie rods will be way off. Is there enough adjustment at the tie rods to bring the wheels back into line after re-centering ?

Chris.

ok golf fixer, good news for you, checked out the steeering yesterday, and it appears the rask is broke. it will turn fine to the right, but when it is iturn too the left no turn, very little. it was in a boo boo about a year ago, my grandfather fell of and it stop on a tree, pushed front bumber in, and the front frame, got a little damage, but thats all we saw. when it is straight, the arm is nbent at the end of the boot, towards the rightside spindle. it straightens otu when turned to the right. and its the same. no left turn, it just straight. i saw on golf parts direct that part item number 11 says that theress a what looks like a inner tie rod. it drives fine, no issue with the wheel other then no turn to the left. got any idea, or would it be a lot easier to just buy a new rack. in case i get the boot off and find more broke parts? or try to recenter the rack? and if so how?

A steering repair kit is best. You may or may not need the pinion gear, but most likely, your rack rod gear is dished out and worn in the middle teeth. The repair kits are available on our website, as well as the shop ezgo site. Aftermarket is a little cheaper and just as good for this application...
