Default Fix for air intake on lifted ClubCar Gas

Ok, I made a promise to another member that I would find this part that I had used many times on lifted gas ClubCars. And after only a month or two........I found it under the mountain in the corner of my shop. This will fix any issue with the air intake on the carb hitting the black box that houses the solenoid and micro-switches. Here is a picture of the part. Part# 691368 Manifold-Intake. It is a Briggs and Stratton part so it should be easy to source.

I was just looking at mine yesterday, wondering how I could change it,
to make it look & function better!

Off to the nearest small engine, B & S dealer today!

Thanks BC&C!

cart fixer. looks like a 1/4 barb fillting, same as you us to repair air hoses with. the plastic is soft enogh that you can drill the hole and if you have the correct tap, tap it, if no use a fitting, and tap it, pull it out and apply some pise dough/thresd sealer to it, not teflon tape! reinstll the fitting and allow the thread seler to dry over night.

I also ordered the part and installed the barb fitting. Question is: what did you use for the new air hose from the air filter box? My old air hose doesn't fill the bill as it is too short.

My old air hose fit right on it! All I did was turn the hose a bit and it went right on.

Correct length of fuel line or vac line from auto parts store will work great.

Success at last. Thanks for all the feedback and the part description. I got the original hose to do the trick. I may have to purchase an aftermarket hose to get it to work on my cart with the 8" lift. I'll know in a few weeks when I head to the Hill Country where my other cart is stored. I've got drop plates between the engine mount and the snubber tongue piece. It will be a longer drop on the 8" than it was on the 6" lift cart.

Just a note. In order to get the Briggs part to attach to the carb, I shaved 1/4 inch from the nut side of the 1/2 inch thick base with a dremel tool. Otherwise I would have to have replaced the studs with longer versions.

There's a good "Heads up" HCH!

I have the part, But I haven't done it yet, (my cart's still at the campground)

I'm ready to go get it, Because I really want to try this fix!
