There are speaker pods or enclosures that mount on the back side of the speaker. they will improve the sound quality and protect them from dirt water and anything else the tires might throw up.
Check to see if you have room to mount them before you cut.

Rhobyn just gave me a low budget speaker enclosure suggestion.
If you are using round or 6X9s, go to Wally World and get two tuperware containers that the speaker will fit in.
cut the lid same as the speaker hole and mount it behind the body when you mount the speaker.
snap the container to the lid and you have weatherproof enclosures for under5/10 bucks.

hey club car man , crutchfield used to sell a "spearker ensloser". its goes between the speaker and the box, or what ever you mount the speaker too. so if you end up mounting in the dash, you wount get them full ouf mud, then no sound!, i know on my carryall, i get mus even on my f/r wall if thats what you want to cal it. but i dont thnk the sound would be that great. i might sugest if you want the sound, to sacfrifice part of your glove boxes fro the speakers. and you can mount your radio in one too, and they all stay dry, from the enclosed box. that is already there. heres a link to crutchfield for those speaker encloseueres. http://www.crutchfield.com/g_762/Foa...es.html?tp=660

If you're not running an amp I would follow the installation instructions that come with the head unit.
Very straight forward.

just make sure that you hook up the yellow to the battery, or to the battery wire at the key switch, and hook the red wirer to the switched side or the key side of the power. so the radio will not kill your battery! teh yellow is to keep you presets and clock on, the red is power to turn on and off with the key. the black is ground, and the gray, purple, green pair wires are your speaker wires. like previiuos poster, just follow your chart on top of the deck or the paperwork with it.

all the jump pack is is a battery with cbles. so yes you can. if it has a cig lighter socket thing, hook the red and yellow to the center/springgy one, and the black to the side /springs. or the one without the fuse. then hook speakers as neaded. your car will basiclly jump the jump pack. like when you jump with cables. nut be advised also, if you run the radio and have the jump pack hooked to a battery there may be a diode in it to prevnet this battery from getting cahrged from the cable, a diode is basicly a oneway check valve fro power. it will only allow power to run one way.

all I want i mean is can I just charge the jump pack and run the stereo directly off of it and nothing else and still use the regular battery for the starting of the golf cart so then i can use the jump pack for the stereo and also if my battery goes dead i can unplug the stereo and jump the golf carts battery

yup i guess i have drivers at work with the same battery in ther radio boxes, all they do is run the power wire to the battery, and the battery to the radio. but they have the diode to protect there radio and battery, so not to fry it.
