Re: No go!!!
Is the starter belt slipping on the small pulley?
Is the choke working properly? |

Re: No go!!!
As far as I know the belt isnt slipping. There is no choke. Just a big black button under the driverside

Re: No go!!!
I think there is a choke function in your air filter.....? Check all the usual. New spark plug, clean filter? Don't guess the belt is good , jack it up remove the seat and operate the peddle by hand while watching the belt

Re: No go!!!
Maybe it's me but every time I hear that a cart starts but just crawls I have to wonder if the motor is actually running poorly, not reving or the starter is moving the cart.
MarkyMark, can you pull the drive belt off and determine if the motor is actually starting and not just spinning over? |

Re: No go!!!
The cart was doing it before I replaced the carb. Only not as bad. The cart would cruze pretty good before the carb replacement. Still took a while to get it moving. There is a hosr coming off the engine but where does it hook to the carb? I have the fuel line hooked to carb, the line that hooks to carb & hangs down & under the engine.

Re: No go!!!
The vaccum tubing that hags down under the cart is just a fuel bowl overflow.... Is fuel coming out of it?
Is you airbox intact? Filter clean? Linkage operating the throttle plate FULLY? |

Re: No go!!!
Make sure the overflow tube is not clogged, that will cause poor running engine as well.
Check the whole air filter assy from carb to choke knob under your left leg, the choke is the last part of the air filter system and any leaks will counter act the choke operation. Even though a new carb, check the float level, If it's low it will be a hard starter. Done a compression test? |
