1990 Gas club car buying. Is it worth it??
I found a 1990 gas club car in decent clean shape as it seems and it is all stock. It is street legal right now with all lights & title. He wants $1400 for it though. I am looking at putting a big block into a cart as my 99 CC has the wrong rotation and I have read you can still do it with gears etc.... This is the only one I found local, that is gas and isnt $3 - 4000 with just a lift/rims & that may have the right rotation for a big block.
Couple of questions. Is it worth this much? If not how much is it worth? If I keep this motor for now any issues etc...? What is the difference from this one & my 99 besides the motor? Also if this is not worth it at all, let me know as I am in no means desperate to get one at this moment. I just need the pros & cons of this one to decide. Thanks guys |

black, i think one thing you need to determine is it worthit to you. if you have the big block and the ability to stuff that baby in there your half the way there. i would think ts a bit much for a 90. and i would look and see how its "street legal" ohio will give me a title, and plates, but i will get a tix for it cause the dmv and the police say 2 diffnt things. the dmv says its ok on the roads and the police say no way! even though it has the lights, brakes, cab, seat belts, blah blah blah.

This golf cart might be a flathead engine for that year, also depends on your budget what you are willing to spend.
You need to check in your city and state if this golf cart is realy street legal? I had a golf cart with every option a car has and was not able to drive it in the street. If I were you I would look for something newer if you are going to put alot of money into it. Check the frame for any cracks or a bent frame usually in the front end area. |

Re: 1990 Gas club car buying. Is it worth it??
Well being street legal was not the seller for me, its more of the big block swap I was looking into. I dont have a BB yet, but I was looking into one on that one sight. In TX if I recall looking at the DMV it said it could be, but we all know how local police can be at times as they do not know all the state laws as what is legal to drive. What are 90 gas CC worth in anyones opinion. MAybe I can make an offer but I doubt a low ball will happen. I really dont mind on skipping this cart if its not worth it actually. My 99 CC does good with the 290 motor but we all like to have more power to boot.

If you really like the cart offer him $1000 for the cart tell him for the age that you think that is a fair offer. You have nothing to lose.

I think she is bite'in her lip to keep from laughing!!
It's funny, age and gravity will make a gals hooters drop to her knees but you never hear of gravity doing the same for a gents junk? What's up with that? Anyway, back on topic, I don't think 1400 is a bad price for any year decent running cart. It would be snatched up quick in my area. |
