Default 2003 clutch photos needed

hello everyone, been lurking for a while so thought id join in the fun.
my problem is ive been doing some work on a noisy drive clutch ,like metal to metal noise. pulled off the clutch, checked it against the parts diagram, but cant find anything wrong.
the only thing that seems wrong is ive taken the drive hub off, and a lot of powder was present ,but i cant see where its rubbed off from.
im hoping someone has exploded photos of the clutch assembly for me to compare with .
thankyou

well first to be clear, are you talking about the primary clutch (atached to engine?

if you took apart and everything looks ok and no signs of wear...
the first thing i ask if you check to see how smooth the clutch slides
and it there was plenty of grease, when they get dry they can get noisey and they don't work as they should...

it is primary clutch,
no grease at all where the weights are, only fine powder, first thought of asbestos powder but it it must be metal

i would sugest getting a repair manual, also you could post picture for others to see and then if we see it we may be able to help or take it to a cart shop and have them look at it....a picture can be worth a 1,000 words...just my experience, the clutch's are pretty reliable, when there is a problem it is is normally a broken piece, if there is nothing broke or look like it is worn, without seeing it, my first thought is it is a 2003 and maybe never be grease, there is a grease fitting and it the hub has never been grease that can cause noise, this may be all there is to it, but then again it could be more, but if nothing is broke/missing or worn.. i would put back together and mke sure you have everything lubed up and see if it goes away, but before you do, look at the engine shaft and see it it looks worn (not smooth or has a lips you can feel with you finger nail) if good put on the main hub and rock side to side and see if there is a lot of play, if so then you need to replace the bushing, if good just grease and give that a try.....

just note: that hub need to be able to slide freely to work corectly, if not if will cause other problem.

yo richie cc dont ave a grease fitting1 well i heard some do some dont.

russel from down under... is the powder a white powder as from the cart sitting for long period of time? it could just be oxidation of the to aluminuim halfs. see if with th belts offyou can squeze the two halfs together. if so i would get some pb blaster, or a good penatrating lube and give her a good dosing and let it sit over night. then try it again.
heres a book for a 97 ds. i dont know if this will help. but anything is worth a shot!

ckiguy is right there is no grease in Club Car drive or driven clutches.
There are some Bakelite type wear buttons in both to provide a smooth nonabrasive ramp surface. They do wear out and need replacing. They produce a black powder or dust when wearing. The replacement 'buttons' are available from any dealer or sponsor. No Grease. It will just make a mess and possibly end up on the belt.

OEM part # 1014453 1988 & up DS
Nivel list is under $20

Clutch buttons are the most ignored wear item on a gas cart ...... leading to catastrphic damage, meaning, if they are not replaced when worn then the clutch hub begins to self destruct....

Well, now i know why i only work on a yamaha... much easier to use a grease gun than disassmeble both clutches to grease them... oh well. i love my Yami...

if CC don't have grease fittings, how do they keep the sliding part of the clutch plates moving without being metal to metal...that must cuase a lot of pre-mature wear..

moving parts need to be lubed some how/ some way... call me crazy... but metal to metal can't be good..try removing oil from a engine and let that be metal to metal and see how long it runs....well, ok, i admit it, i am crazy

thats why i thought i must have missed something in the exploded diagrams ,as metal to metal doesnt make sense .
the bakelite buttons look like new, so tomorrow ill check the metal bushes for wear .have downloaded repair manual and doesnt look like anythings broke or missing, which is why i thought i might pick something up on a photo.
buggy is golf hire so its used every day.the dust looks just like brake pad dust,so im leaning more towards metal bush wear
