Default CarryAll Scrap Weight

I have the opportunity to save a carryall from the scrapper. However, the guy gave me no price. He just said he could scrap it out, but didn't really want to do it. He says make an offer. Well to me, junk is junk. So to satisfy myself, what would a carryall weight without engine for aluminum scrap. At least this would give me a starting point.

my engine is around say 50 lbs on a carry all and the shipping wieght or at least what is in my manual is 910 lbs. but thats with engine, no gas or battery. so i would see the price on 850 lbs.

Scrap yards around here give you less for mixxed metal and things that they have to disasemble. They allso subtract for tires and gas tanks. So you are savving him disasemble time and transportation cost.I bought two EZ Go carts and extra parts (rear end ,motor, and front axel ect.) for $50.00 3 years ago from a scraper. Good luck.

Thanks for the quick replies. I didn't think I would offer him too much. You right, I would save him trouble and transport costs, but didn't want to pay too much. I know the cost of a rebuild would be high also. I'll offer something stupid and see what he does.

Thanks again
