Helix
I was replacing the driven clutch spring, and I noticed that the slides (aka buttons) and the helix were wearing down. I looked at several of the sponsor websites to buy these parts. I found the slides, but I couldn't find the helix. Do I have to buy the whole clutch? If I buy a used clutch, then how do I know if the helix is worn down?

Re: Helix
This is what happens to your ramps when you do not replace the worn buttons and run the clutch metal to metal .... surprisingly this is how nearly all the 10 - 15 yr old clutches which have never been apart look. One day I took 5 apart here looking for a good helix and found none This one is extreme but, notice the deep grooves worn into the ramps
