Default 2002 Clubcar DS Info Help

I am going to look at buying a 2002 Club car DS and was wondering if someone could provide some insight on what to check to make sure the cart is a good one. Also I have a cylinder compression gauge so I am also wondering what PSI I need to look for as well....
Thanks everyone for your help

150PSI minimum.

Check both clutch faces for wear, check both clutches for proper engagement, make sure the belts ride where they should. Drive the cart, see how well it starts, step on the brakes, does it have a hard pedal but not stop well, could be a issue. Check the oil, is it clean. Check cables, check starter generator brush lenth. Jack up the front of the cart and check front suspension, all of this will tell you if the cart will be in need of work in the future.

Thank you so much for your help. I have a few more questions......
How do I check the clutches for proper engagement and how do I check the generator brush length?
I am curious also since you have such a great insight into the cart world.....what is the average price of a 2002 CC DS (just like it came of the course)?

Put the car in service mode and run the car with the seat off, front clutch should go inand belt go to the top, rear clutch should open and belt go all the way to the bottom. Pull a brush cover on the starter motor and give a look, if the brush is equal to the metal holder, those brushes need replaced.

In CA, gas golf car prices are high, so I can tell you a clean gas car here plain jane would be about 2500.00

put the trans in neuterel, pull the seat off, theres a plstic 3 prong tab on the trans shifter. pull it out (its spring loaded) and turn it till it pos back in. you wil notice it holds on of the micro switches up so it can run the engine,
