Default choosing motor for swap for '97 club car

making room for my cart in the garage so i can remove blown fe290. thinking about selling off all unneeded parts...starter generator, rev. limiter, carb etc on ebay. pictures to follow. would like to see pic.s from those who have gone before.

i've decided to swap motor on my '97 club car, and put high speed gears in the transaxel. now, i'm searching for a motor. the honda clones are looking like a good option. any recomendations? wanting to order a motor first of next week.

whoever gave us the cub car clockwise motors sucks according to wikapedia:In 1997, Club Car sourced new transaxles which required clockwise input. To remedy the issue, the engine's rotation was switched to clockwise, and displacement grew to 287 cc.
