the old motor is out new motor ordered!

today the son and I pulled the fried fe290 out of the '97, and cleaned the car up. everything went pretty smooth except for the last motor mount bolt on the passenger side burried behind the transaxel. no just waiting for the new motor to come. i have some parts off of the fe290 if anyone is interested in making an offer. starter gen, rev limiter, carb. (rejetted w/slightly larger jets). everything is 1997, so its for a clockwise motor.

pics from this afternoon: son and i removed fried fe290 out of our '97 cc. later we cleaned all of the scundge off....wish we had pressure washed it first. think my son swallowed a dead ladybug while pulling motor

I have a 99 CC so you and I are in the same clockwise boat.
So what motor did you go with?
What gears you gonna go with?
What lift you got or gonna get and tires size?

well the old motor will be stripped of anything good and parted out to those in need. taking a chance on a clone motor from carroll stream on ebay. 16 hp honda clone, $369.99 free shipping, no tax. saving my pennies for high speed 8:1 gears. as far as the lift goes........not really interested in what is commercially available. i'm thinking bout finding a wrecked or cheap quad and transplanting the front suspension onto cart. saw some examples of a carryall posted on here that was done like this. until then i'm going to stay with current tires 18" knobbies. also thinking about roll cage.
